About the Role
Do you want to help shape the future of energy supply? In the autumn of 2026, we will once again start our appreciated Nuclear Power Program at Ringhals - a unique opportunity for you who want to kickstart your career in nuclear power while contributing to a sustainable society.
During nine intensive and educational months, you will receive a combination of theoretical education and practical experience, while being employed in a specific group at Ringhals. The program includes everything from reactor physics and nuclear safety to operational understanding and networking – all to give you a solid foundation to stand on in your future role.
You will also have a mentor in your home group who supports you throughout the program and helps you integrate into both the work group and Ringhals as a whole. Through study visits and meetings with colleagues from various parts of the organization, you will gain a broad understanding of how everything is interconnected – while simultaneously building valuable relationships for the future.
The program starts on September 1, 2026, and your employment will begin a week or two before, as agreed with the recruiting manager.

Instrument Technician Process System (3 positions)
As an Instrument Technician with us at Ringhals, you belong to the operational technology group, whose responsibility is to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance such as calibration and troubleshooting, as well as repairing sensors in the field for our control systems.
We work together in teams across different areas. These areas include protection and control systems for reactors and turbines, support systems for activity measurement, speaker systems, telephony, physical protection, and fire alarms. The work is done in close collaboration with our maintenance engineers. We strive to share our expertise and maintain an open climate where all questions are welcome. The deep competence we have in-house is something we are proud of and see as a great strength. The goal is to continue to manage and develop this competence over time, and you will be an important player for us!
Instrument Technician Workshop (1 position)
In our shared workshop, we perform preventive maintenance on circuit boards by replacing components, corrective maintenance when equipment malfunctions. Development of test systems used in connection with maintenance. Provides support for reports to demonstrate what has malfunctioned on a component. Incoming inspection of delivered equipment to Ringhals is also part of this operation.
In the workshop, we also have activities such as calibration of measuring equipment, maintenance, and development of mobile equipment related to fuel handling.
The competence in the workshop is well known not only at Ringhals but also from other nuclear power plants in Sweden as assignments also come from them.
Requirements
We believe that you are relatively newly educated in Electrical or Technical studies at the high school level or equivalent, and that you have a burning interest in technology. If you have a willingness to learn, there are good opportunities to develop and grow in your role here with us!

In the role, you will collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside your own group, so being comfortable in a group is an important part of succeeding.
We are curious about both you who come directly from school and you with longer work experience who would like to work in nuclear power and automation. We believe that most things can be learned, but we see that you have the following as a foundation:
- Electrical or Technical high school education or equivalent
- Swedish language skills in speech and writing
- English language skills in writing
